This modern finish is not durable at all, but can be repaired. It has the look and shape of classy Italian furniture, but is laminated together layers.

Like plywood, this material sometimes delaminates i.e. the layers separate and come apart.

To repair the finish, we have to delaminate all the affected material, then resurface the piece.

Our dyes and coatings are quite a bit stronger then the original and should hold up at least as long as the original finish did.

These pieces are very fragile but can be restored at a fraction of what they would cost to recover or replace.

We always take a few moments to talk about goals and end results when we work on piece like this.
