We had to formulate a dye especially for this vehicle. It takes about a week to get the color matched and the dye delivered.
The wear was very deep. The leather was already in a “dry rot” condition. There were busted stitches and lost of general wear, The cleaning of the piece beforehand is crucial to remove any foreign oils and grime can have a effect on the finished surface.
Once the dye coating is repaired, we seal it with a clear coat. This will protect it and help to repel moisture, while keeping the essential oils intact.
