This love seat is a family favorite and very comfortable.
So comfortable that a little boy fell asleep and urinated on the cushion this sat long enough to set in and even shrink the leather. The original finish was aniline.
ANILINE Finish is the most delicate finish for leather as it is not sealed. The Dye changes the color while not sealing the finish from moisture damage. It preserves the leather nominally, but is extremely soft you can see the color difference in the seams.
This set was not white originally, but thoroughly sun bleached, cat scratched, and water damaged.
The end product was a sealed finish that the customers chose that would be soft, but hide a little more the future pet damage.
For roughly 1/4 of the cost of new furniture, (if you can even find modern equivalent to this leather) this leather was resealed and ready to enjoy.
